Pink & Green Summer Drinks

What is a better color combination for summer than pink and green? Pink lemonade and limeade are my favorite Lilly-fied beverages to drink to cool down on these hot summer day!

Pink Lemonade

1. Bring 1 cup of water with 1 cup of granulated sugar to a boil in a pan over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved and refrigerate for an hour.

2. Add 2 1/2 cups lemon juice, 1 1/2 cups superfine sugar, cranberry juice, and 1 1/4 quarts of water to your prettiest pitcher. Stir until dissolved and refrigerate until ready to serve.

3. Add ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices.

Limeade

1. Bring the grated zest of 1 lime, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat once sugar is completely dissolved.

2. Strain out the lime zest from the sugar-water mixture. Add 1 cup lime juice and 2 cups of water. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

3. Serve with ice and garnished with lime slices or fresh mint sprigs.

What do you like better - pink lemonade or limeade?

Shoshanna Dresses = LOVE

I love Shoshanna dresses and these summer ones definitely do not disappoint. I want one of each!

I love the simple cut of this dress and the gold color. I once had a Shoshanna one-shoulder dress in this color and it was so pretty!

Pink and white is one of my favorite summer color combos. Oh hell, it's one of my favorite any season color combos.
I'm alas too short to really pull off the maxi dress, but if I could, I'd snap up this gorgeous white one with gold accents.

I love the splash of color at the top!

Green and white is a pretty good color combo too...

I've been in love with this shade of purple since I saw it on a waitress's nails last weekend. I neeeed this dress!

All pictures are from Shopbop!

Do you have a favorite Shoshanna dress??

UPDATE: Now this is what I call serendipity! There is a Shoshanna sale starting at noon EST on Gilt. Click here if you need an invite!

My Rachel Leigh Purchase!

I finally bought a Rachel Leigh Audrey bracelet! I've been wanting one for sooo long and since I alway see them on various sale websites, I wanted to get one on sale. Otherwise, I knew the day after I bought one, I'd see them on sale. The problem was I kept missing the sales! Until now - I bought this pink one on The Aisle. The best part is they are still available - and in blue and white too. Click here to go to The Aisle!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lilly Shopping Trip

I apologize for being a terrible blogger. I've been wanting to post on the royal wedding (which I LOVED) and some of my own wedding updates, but now I feel like I'm a little too tardy for the party!

One thing that it's never too late to post on is shopping! I've been trying really hard not to do too much shopping, but somehow I end up doing it anyways. Last weekend, I convinced my fiance to drive me to E. A. Davis in Wellesley. This store is fabulous and has more Lilly than the actual Lilly store (In the Pink) in Boston. Plus the women who work there are amazing. They also sell Jack Rogers, Vineyard Vines, etc.

I picked up 2 great Lilly items!

The Patterson dress is cute, summery, and very flattering. The top white part is stretchy and has a built-in bra with the tiniest bit of padding. I usually don't like tops with a built-in bra, but I'll happily make an exception for this one. I'm going to Florida in a few weeks and I can't wait to wear this. Next time you're in a Lilly store, try this dress on!

I also picked up this adorable beach tote. It's HUGE and the inside is insulated so it is perfect for bringing cold drinks and a snack to the beach. And it comes with a super cute Lilly bottle/wine opener.
Have a wonderful weekend!
