Things I Cannot Stop Wearing this Summer

Jack Rogers Navajor Mid Wedges in Platinum

Weddings, work, weekends... you name it, I've worn these to it.

Lilly Pulitzer Skirt in Hotty Pink Ten Speed Print

I can't find a picture of this on the internet, but this is the print and I'm wearing it to death this summer.

Rachel Leigh Audrey Bangle

This is the only bracelet I've occasionally replaced my sentimental Tiffany Silver Bead bracelet (the first gift my fiance gave me) with.

JPK Paris Bucket Bag in Pink

After much coveting, I picked this up at a Rue La La sale. I love how bright it is (although I can never find anything in it which drives me craaaazy!).

Kendra Scott Pink Jade Earrings

I love these earrings! I guess by now you can guess that my favorite color is pink!

What have you been wearing non-stop this summer?

A Very Lilly Wedding

I would LOVE to have a Lilly Pulitzer-themed wedding. My fiance? Not so much. So I will now live vicariously through this gorgeous Lilly Fresh Squeezed wedding photo shoot featuring the Lilly Wedding Collection that I saw on The Wedding Chicks.

How much do you love these pictures?? And the Lilly wedding dresses are adorable. Do you ever feel like you need to have 10 different weddings just to use all the different ideas/themes/colors/dresses, etc that you love?! I sure do!! Be sure to check out the entire post and all the wonderful photos here.

Lilly Shopping Trip

I apologize for being a terrible blogger. I've been wanting to post on the royal wedding (which I LOVED) and some of my own wedding updates, but now I feel like I'm a little too tardy for the party!

One thing that it's never too late to post on is shopping! I've been trying really hard not to do too much shopping, but somehow I end up doing it anyways. Last weekend, I convinced my fiance to drive me to E. A. Davis in Wellesley. This store is fabulous and has more Lilly than the actual Lilly store (In the Pink) in Boston. Plus the women who work there are amazing. They also sell Jack Rogers, Vineyard Vines, etc.

I picked up 2 great Lilly items!

The Patterson dress is cute, summery, and very flattering. The top white part is stretchy and has a built-in bra with the tiniest bit of padding. I usually don't like tops with a built-in bra, but I'll happily make an exception for this one. I'm going to Florida in a few weeks and I can't wait to wear this. Next time you're in a Lilly store, try this dress on!

I also picked up this adorable beach tote. It's HUGE and the inside is insulated so it is perfect for bringing cold drinks and a snack to the beach. And it comes with a super cute Lilly bottle/wine opener.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Yes, it's Another Shopping Post

OK, I'm really going to stop shopping now.

My latest weakness? The Lilly sale on Rue La La. I think that only buying this Del Mar dress was a sign of restraint!

I also picked up a few things at Ann Taylor LOFT last weekend. If you haven't been there lately, I think you need to. SO many cute things for spring. I will definitely be going back... next week when my fiance is away for business and can't find my shopping bags.

I got these two tops, plus a new pair of jeans.

What have you been shopping for lately?

Lilly Sale Scores!

Did you guys snag anything good at the big online Lilly sales last week?

I got the Shauna Tunic Dress in Booty Caw for a great price, but was so disappointed that the fit just didn't work for me at all. Too big on top, too tight in the middle - has anyone else found that with the Shauna dress? I love the Booty Caw print though!

So yesterday I swung by In the Pink on Newbury Street and was thrilled to find out they were having a 50% off any green item promotion in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I scored the Jacqueline Dress in gorgeous kelly green - and for half off!

I think I may wear it for Easter!

While I was in the shop, I of course had to browse some of the other fabulous dresses they had. I am in loooove with so many. I hope I can resist temptation to buy them all!

Want it, Need it, Gotta Have it!!

I am in love with the Lilly Pulitzer Dolly dress! I want it in every color, especially green. Come mid-March (when it is set to become available) I will be running to my local Lilly for one (or four!)

What are your favorites from the Lilly spring collection??

Lilly Bonanza!!

If you're anything like me, you've spent hours scouring the internet for a certain Lilly Pulitzer item. There's always that dress or skirt that somehow seems to allude me when it is in stores (like the Originals Wallet in Flowey Wowey... anyone know where I can get one by the way?!). Or maybe you spill red wine on your favorite shirt and you desperately search on Ebay for a replacement. Or maybe you just are so obsessed that you browse Re-Lilly on Facebook and other sites just in case something you absolutely need to own comes up. Well I've found one more place to look!

Bonanza has lots of different things (it seems to be a combination of ebay and etsy... actually, you can import items that you are selling on ebay to bonanza), but it has a pretty good amount of Lilly items and some very good deals.
Click here to check it out - who knows what you might find!!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everyone had a great time ringing 2010 out and 2011 in. My fiance and I went out in NYC with my cousin, his fiance and their friends. I had soo much fun (but forgot my camera at home)! And I discovered my new favorite drink - champagne with a splash of Chambord! Soooo good!

The next day we walked around the city and I tried to go to the Lilly store on Madison Avenue. But it was closed due to the holiday! :( It looks beautiful though! I guess I just need to make a second trip!!

How did you celebrate the new year??

Best wishes! xoxo

Semi Homemade - Lilly Pulitzer!

Last weekend, I happened to catch an episode of Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade Cooking on the Food Network that featured a Lilly Pulitzer tablescape!

The table was a beautiful array of pink and green and feaured all of our favorite Lifeguard Press items including the party pom poms, pinwheels, cocktail napkins, and melanine plates and bowls.

Sandra Lee even wore a pretty pink Lilly dress! Perfect!

The episode, which was called "Garden Fresh" featured some really wonderful sounding recipes that you can find on the Food Network website. Here were my favorites:

Caprese Mozzarella Salad Bites

Ingredients
2 endives
1 large green zebra or yellow tomato, chopped
1 cup grated mozzarella
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing
Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Directions
Separate the leaves of the endive and set aside the larger leaves.

In a bowl, gently mix together the tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and dressing, and season salt and pepper, to taste. Fill the leaves with the mixture and sprinkle with a little Parmesan. Arrange the bites on a serving platter and serve.

Blushing Strawberry Cupcakes

Ingredients
1 pound strawberries, washed and hulled
1/4 cup water
1 box white cake mix
3 egg whites
1/3 cup canola oil
Frosting
2 egg whites
1 cup sugar
Reserved strawberry puree
1 tbsp light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Red food coloring

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 (24-count) mini muffin tins with paper liners.

In a blender combine the strawberries (reserve about 12 small strawberries for garnish, slicing each into 4) with 1/4 cup water and puree until smooth. Puree should equal about 1 3/4 cups, if not add more water. Set aside 1/4 cup of the puree for frosting.

In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together the cake mix, egg whites, vegetable oil, and 1 1/2 cups of pureed strawberries for 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of bowl to make sure all the batter is well incorporated. Using a mini ice-cream scoop, fill the muffin tins about 3/4 of the way to the top. Bake until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove the tins from the oven cool slightly before removing the muffins. Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.

Frosting
In a mixing bowl that fits over the top of a pot of boiling water, combine all of the ingredients, except the vanilla and food coloring. Beat with hand mixer on medium speed, while mixture cooks, until peaks are formed when the beaters are lifted out of the bowl, about 7 minutes. Remove the bowl from the heat and add vanilla and red food coloring to the desired pink shade. Frost the cupcakes with the colored frosting and garnish each with a strawberry slice.

Don't these just sound delicious? I think I may try making the cupcakes next week. I'll let you know how they turn out! Did anyone else catch this episode?

Happy weekend!
xoxo

Lilly Sale Success!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was so bummed that I thought I was going to miss the Lilly sale this week. Well, good news on two fronts! My job interview went well (they've asked me back for a second interview) AND I still managed to snag a couple Lilly items.

I've been wanting this Murfee scarf for awhile and was thrilled to see the terrifice price! It *almost* makes me look forward to fall.

I also got the Delphina dress in Truly Unruly. The print is a lot brighter than it appeared on the Lilly site, but I think I like it. Unfortunately, I don't think I like the other side of it (it's reversible). Does anyone else have this dress? What do you think?

And I was super excited to receive my makeup bag in Not So Crabby! I love how Lilly throws in free gifts with purchase. Fingers crossed that they decide to do a similar fall sale!

Happy Friday! xoxo

Lilly Sale Blues

Tomorrow is the Lilly Endless Summer Sale and I'm so so so bummed that I'm going to miss it. I missed it last year too! The good news is that I'm missing it because I have a job interview! Although I must admit I seriously (albeit momentarily) considered trying to reschedule it so I wouldn't miss the sale! I'm nervous for the interview, but not terribly excited since it's an hour away from my home and I'd hate that kind of commute every day. I'm pretty miserable at my current job though (although very grateful to have it) so I need to put myself out there and who knows, maybe it will be fantastic! At the the very least, I'll get some interview experience.

Wish me luck and let me know what you snag at the Lilly sale!

xoxo

The Lilly fall collection is arriving in stores and everyone is blogging about their fave pieces. I don't want to be left out of the fun! Here are the two dresses I'm currently in love with and can't wait to get!
Love the turquoise color and the koi print on this Stephanie shift!

This Brinkley shirt dress is perfect for work!

Hope you're having a great week! xoxo

FUN Desk Accesories and Office Supplies!

I recently moved to a new office and have a brand new big desk. It's nice and modern looking, but very minimalistic... I need some fun office supplies!

Like this adorable Lilly Pulitzer desktop calendar...

And some Lilly Pulitzer picture frames to put pictures of my nearest and dearest in...

Of course no desk is complete without a fun and colorful mouse pad from Caspari (right now I have a plain boring one with my company's logo)...

Some lovely Lilly pens will make taking notes in meeting a little more fun...

I adore this lucite note paper box from Caspari...

And I can put my Lilly pens in this pretty pen/pencil holder from The Container Store!

What office supplies do you use to brighten up your desk at work?
Hope you all had a great weekend!
